Diana Kamin, a senior lecturer in the Department of Communication and Media Studies at Fordham University, holds a PhD in media, culture, and communication from New York University. Her research explores the circulation of photography and large-scale image collections in historical and contemporary contexts. Her research has been published in Media-N, Journal of Visual Culture, and Information & Culture.

Her book Picture-Work: How Libraries, Museums, and Stock Agencies Launched a New Image Economy (MIT Press, 2023) explores how the image collection, organized and made available for public consumption, came to define a key feature of contemporary visual culture.
